Maverick F1 (HSR 4121) is the highest yielding of all orange fleshed hybrids in our 2003 test. Nine cooperators agreed that this has very high potential. Purdue University said “5 in. globular fruit. Flesh color bright orange. Juicy. Outstanding flavor, melt in your mouth quality.” HSR 4121 got their highest rating. As far as number of fruit per plot is concerned, this is the most impressive melon we’ve seen for many years. |
