We wrote in our Cucurbits, Second Edition in 1983, “We think this variety has been overlooked and underrated”. Since that time Allsweet has enjoyed better sales. Tolerant to Fusarium race 1 and Anthracnose.  While it needs a long growing season, it has very good shipping ability, great shelf life and good flavor. Fruit weigh 25 to 30 pounds.  The seeds are small, brown and relatively few per fruit.

We recommend Bravo F1 instead of Allsweet for better fruit shape uniformity and earliness.
