Strong rind is an attractive fade resistant light-medium green with distinctive double stripe pattern of a narrow dark green stripe over wider medium green stripe. Internal appearance has excellent bright red flesh, well defined flesh-rind boundary & small pip size. Eating quality is superb; flesh is very sweet, crisp & delicious without a metallic aftertaste common with seedless watermelons. Ruby F1 has a vigorous vine and is resistant to some strains of Fusarium.
