Actually a squash, but mostly used with gourds in decorative displays. While fruits vary in size, shape, and color, diameter averages 9 inches, and about 5 inches tall.
Surprisingly vivid colors often appear in stripes running from blossom to stem end and vary from red to white to green and orange. Easily stores into the winter months.
